How runway is calculated

Runway is your cash on hand divided by net monthly burn (expenses minus revenue). It answers one question: if nothing changes, how long until you run out of cash? A common rule of thumb is to keep at least six months of runway, and to recheck the number whenever a big hire, price change, or expense is on the table.

Make it a daily habit

A single snapshot goes stale fast. Pocket-CFO connects to your accounting system and recomputes cash, runway, and burn every day, then writes a plain-English brief so you catch a change in direction early, not at month-end. The finance math stays deterministic and auditable; the brief is the part that's written for you.

This calculator is a general planning aid, not financial advice. Figures are estimates based on the numbers you enter.
